OK for CDs a bit too tight for DVDs & VHSSep 17, 2009
I'm not really thrilled with this bubble mailer, but it has its uses. Nearly every other size "0" mailer I've ever used (and I've used them all) fits a VHS tape with no problem but this brand is just a little bit on the "too tight" side. While I can get them in there with a bunch of wiggling, it's not an easy fit. Even a standard DVD case is a bit too tight. The adhesive doesn't seem very strong so I always reinforce it with tape if I have anything of significant size or weight in the package.
On the plus side, the sides are "gusseted", which means there is a seamed edge of about 1/4" up each side. I find this to be desirable in a mailer one intends to use for shipping as those without gusseted edges can "blow out" and the contents can easily be lost. The exterior kraft paper, while not offering any moisture protection (in fact it seems to absorb humidity), is fairly strong and combined with the interior bubble layer provides adequate protection for most needs. The bubbles are "firm" and of good quality. Believe me, these little details can mean the difference between a damaged product and an undamaged product for your buyer or shipment addressee.
If one is filling out the addressing information manually, I would advise the use of a felt tip or "Sharpie" type marker as a ball point pen or pencil will easily puncture the kraft paper (the interior bubbles do not lend themselves to a flat writing surface). Better yet, use a label - they stick very well to the exterior of these mailers.
This mailer is a decent buy if it is offered the price range of less than $.20 per mailer delivered (or picked up) and your demand/need for mailers of this size is only occasional.

You can get this same item (Scotch 25 pack size zero bubble mailers) at Sam's club for less than $5.00 per pack.

It was my first month on Amazon, I had brought some assorted bubble bags from a swap meet vendor, using those to fill 1or 2 orders a day, the size I was using was not ideal size it was little large. All of a sudden the orders started coming in 6 to 7 a day almost out of Kraft bubble bags, went to the computer and my search came down to Coxworld #0 kraft bubble bag, the price was low, the bags made by "Scotch 3M",a good brand, so I ordered, 2 days later I had them, I was happy, found a good item and a good vendor. Ordered a 2nd batch right away and they came in a flash. Check out Coxworld when you are buying #0 kraft mailers.
