Ideal for postmenopausal women suffering from dyspareuniaSep 03, 2010 I hit menopause four years ago and started having pain during intercourse. Then pain evolved into tearing of the fourchette (the "V" that is formed by the inner labia) and even tearing of the perineum. Intimacy became impossibly painful. My ObGyn prescribed KY Jelly (ineffectual because it dried too soon) and Vagifem, which gave me headaches. As (bad) luck would have it, my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer right at that time. Because of the surgical complications and the chemo, he was exhausted for nearly 14 months. As a result, we had no sex. Last week, after he was done with chemo, I went for my annual pap smear and the dryness and tissular atrophy was so bad that my doctor had to use a pediatric speculum, and even that hurt like hell. He diagnosed me with secondary vaginismus and vulvodynia and suggested gradual dilation of the vagina, lubricants, and vaginal moisturizers. I did research at the Mayo Clinic web site, among other reputable sources, and came across Liquid Silk as a lubricant. It proved miraculous. Without having started using the prescribed vaginal dialators and vaginal moisturizers, we really longed for intimacy and used only Liquid Silk. There were no tissular tears and no pain. I will still go through the prescribed treatment plan with dialtion and moisturizers, but I will never again have sex without this fabulous lube. It restored our love life.
Excellent performanceAug 13, 2010 The lube stays slick, doesn't smell unpleasant, and keeps perfectly well in a smaller container, like a prescription bottle (reuse and recycle). This first foray into water based lubricants is a pleasant change from the traditional lube.

The only lube I will ever use during my lifetimeJul 26, 2010 After trying all the varieties of lube at CVS, I searched for lube on the internet. Thank god it was this one that I bought. It is the best lube I have ever used. It feels unbelievably natural and feels just as good to her as it does to me. The best part is that it does not dry out at all. I have very sensitive skin and most lube leaves my skin feeling itchy and dry but liquid silk lube almost works as a moisturizer and I feel no discomfort at all after using this product. Way better than astroglide!

In my quest for a perfect lube - this is the winner.May 20, 2010 I have been using lube for years. Usually I will purchase what's on the shelf at my local store, but I've never been totally happy with my selections. There is usually something that just doesn't do it all for me. So, I went on a mission to search forums and reviwes to find the perfect lube. I ultimately decided on three new purchases. Liquid Silk, Slippery Stuff, and Wet Platinum. With so many options on the market, it made me ask myself, where do I start? Lube is a very subjective product. Some may like a thick lube, while others perfer something a bit more water-like. I tend to lead towards the latter. My requirements for a perfect lube are: easy to apply, easy to remove, does not dry up quickly, minimal reapplication, effective slipperyness, does not contribute to yeast infections, non-staining, bottle stays clean, and does not cause itchyness. Lots of things on my list, but I believe I can find that product - and I did. It was Liquid Silk.
I read somewhere in a review that said Liquid Silk is inconspicous enough that you could leave it on the nightstand and your guests would only think it's handcream. I couldn't say it better myself. This bottle looks like a fancy container of European handcream and we do leave it on our nightstand. The pump applicator is perfect. It dispenses just enough in your hand. The consistency is identical to handcream and at first I wondered if it would be slippery enough. It's perfect for vaginal and toy use and in a pinch it will work for the backdoor. There have been nights that we finish and when I get the towel, I just wipe up and go to sleep. As for easy cleanup, it doesn't get easier than this. It doesn't dry too easily, so reapplication is minimal. A drop of salvia every now and then will keep it going strong. This is the first lube I've ever used that isn't the typical greasy/sticky/nasty type of lube. It's certainly well researched and perfectly developed. I highly recommend it to someone that is looking to try something different and get away from the types I just decribed. It will be on our nightstand for years to come.
Silky Spooning - for Adults OnlyMar 20, 2010 Liquid Silk delivers the gift of lubriciousness. Sensitive tissues are protected and simultaneously stimulated. Glide, ride, and slide with the reassuring comfort of this personal lubricant. While gels seem to change composition over time, Liquid Silk (an emulsion) keeps well. Don't go on vacation without it! - CJ
