 good idea but not worth it if you cant eat itMay 28, 2010
I bought my daughter the whole line up of gummy vitamins... she inhales them all, except this one, she took one bite while 'in the mode,' spit it out onto the floor and threw the rest of it down too. I tried one and barely made it to the trash can with the same reaction. The bottle says "Lemonade" flavor but um... I didn't know lemonade tastes like fish... and not fresh fish btw. If I had been paying attention I would have realized that when you open the bottle you get a fish stink smacking you in the face. I got 2 people to try them even after smelling the bottle, one said it tasted like someone sprayed cologne in their mouth, and the other is a college student friend of my sister's who visited and said she hadn't eatten since the day before...she ate like 10.

My kids love these supplements, even my picky eater. (I think they taste fishy). However, the Omega 3 contained in each pill is comprised of ALA, DHA, and EPA, in that order. ALA is likely useless; the stuff we want is DHA and EPA. This item does not state how much ALA is in each pill compared to DHA and EPA. ALA may be broken down in the body to DHA and EPA but in very small quantities. It is likely that this pill is mostly ALA, and I am going to stop giving it to my kids.

Great Concept But Not So TastyDec 03, 2009
I love the idea of an Omega 3 suppliment since my son won't eat fish or nuts. I was hoping these would be as tasty as the Lil Critters Gummy Vites, but they aren't. I couldn't get my 4 yr old son to eat these things. He spit them out. I can't really blame him. I tried them too and they aren't very good; an unpleasant aftertaste overpowers the sugar coating. I was stuck with a whole bottle of these things so I ended up choking the suppliments down daily myself until they were gone. Still hoping someone produces an omega suppliment my son will like. Going to try Barleans Omega punch next.

I bought these for my son and he loves them. It has a sweet taste to it so you dont even notice the fishy taste.
excellent Omega 3 source for kidsNov 28, 2009
i'm a firm believer in Omega 3 benefits and i was looking for a simple way to introduce it to my kids' diet (2 and 4). These are more than excellent and kids love them. They look forward to the gummy fish as their post-breakfast treat, they're even more exited about breakfast now because they get the "gummy fish reward" .. just placed another order for 3 bottles.
