Good source of FiberApr 09, 2010 As advertised, this product is colorless, odorless and tasteless. It makes a great addition to once daily diet and seems to have no side affects other than what is expected from a high fiber diet.

...was suffering, now I'm not (as much)Mar 31, 2010 I'm a post-op bariatric patient, and ever since I came home from the hospital I have had constipation problems...probably from the revised diet (had to reduce carbs and fibrous veggies).
Tried Metamucil...couldn't stand the clumping and thickening
Tried stool softeners...little to no effect
But Benefiber worked...I'm a big guy, >400 lbs, so I take about 6 to 9 heaping teaspoons of it a day...any less and I'm back to where I was before. I agree with many of the reviewers here: the dosage info provided by the manufacturer is misleading to say the least, and the BIG jar (claiming 190 servings) barely lasts me a couple of weeks, but I don't care...it works!
One word of advice during preparation: when mixing in liquids, pour the powder into the liquid, not the liquid into the powder. If you try pouring liquid on a large dose of the powder, you need to stir it immediately...if you don't, the powder has a tendency to coagulate making it very hard to stir and dissolve.
Benefiber.....great transactionMar 21, 2010 Good product (Benefiber)...and also a good price...Really nice transaction.
As always, I am please with Amazon's service.
the cureMar 16, 2010 Dr recommended it, I told him I ate apples & salads every day and lack of fiber wasn't the problem, he said "just try it", I did, solved ALL of the problems. Made it a daily routine in my morning coffee, never noticed the difference. Best to mix with warm drinks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc.

YOU CAN'T TELL IT'S THEREMar 09, 2010 BENEFIBER is so good I'm giving it five stars in spite of the fact that it fails in one of it's claims. The GOOD: Add it to any liquid (even water); you can not tell it's there. Tasteless, orderless, no active ingredients (nothing chemical) and yet functional. 90% of American's do not get adequate fiber. Third world countries who can't afford refined flower and grain don't get colon cancer. What God put in our food for a reason, we've taken out--the roughage our digestive system needs. Fiber is in cereal, beans, nuts, vegetables, and a plethora of foods. Just not enough of what we normally eat. There's not one gram of fiber in a Big Mac. Make it on multi-grain bread, and there's still not enough fiber. Getting enough of it every day is the challenge. That's why we have fiber supplements. Benefiber is the easiest to ingest. The BAD: It doesn't live up to its "promise" on the package. Buy the 125 serving size. Taking it exactly as directed, you will not get more than 60 servings. I need double that, so one container of the 125 size lasts me just 30 days. I wrote their consumer division and have received no reply. I think they fully well know what I've discovered. So using it will cost you more than it appears but not getting colon cancer, and all the other benefits that come with being regular, make it palpably worth it.
