Love it!Jul 01, 2010 The Ninja Quad has super soft blades and can cut through anything. I use the small unit the most for everyday blending and chopping. It makes great baby food. And I used it the other day to make whipped cream in a flash. I love it!
Worked really great... at firstMay 12, 2010 My husband and I bought this "blender" from Target at the end of February and it's broken already. The top that actually does all the blending work just stopped working. We took it apart and thought it was just a spring that was too loose but that wasn't it. Not sure what to do... I don't think we can return it without a sizable charge. We loved it though, so we'll have to figure out what to do soon because we're blender-less!
Update on this review 5-30-10
We found out recently that the motor to this blender isn't the thing that's broken. It's actually the pitcher top that isn't locking correctly with the motor. So the charge to get another one is about $7 which is a lot better than the $37 we would have spent to replace the motor.

From ice cubes to snow in 10 secondsMay 04, 2010 This amazing machine turns ice cubes into snow in seconds. I can't say enough good about it. If you want to make your own slushies or just enjoy shaved ice. This machine will make you very happy. As one reviewer already said, the blades are VERY sharp. Be careful with it, keep it away from the kids and I think you'll love it!
Great design, poor choice of materialsApr 27, 2010 When it works this is a great design. Food is chopped fast and in uniform pieces and I haven't seen anything (even the $400 high end mixer/juicers) do as well making snow-cone texture out of ice. What is disappointing is the cheap plastic used in crucial areas. In spite of the fact that I was careful only to pulse when I used it, within 3 days the plastic tip of the blades on the bowl were stripped so it would no longer grip the plastic sprocket on the underside of the motor head, so the blades would not turn. Within 2 more days the piece on the motor head was also worn down so it would not grip and turn the pitcher blades either. The first time I left a message on the web site and have never heard back from that. A week later I called with both issues and got the bowl blades only. When they arrived I called again about the power head and they are sending that now. Customer service took awhile to get through to but they were helpful once I did. If they replaced the tips of the blade kits and the piece under the motor with higher-quality plastic or metal I would happily pay more for this item; as is I would not recommend it.
Good if your major requirement is making snowApr 06, 2010 As advertised, this thing really makes snow! Fabulous snow. But past that, it is a really sub-standard blender. Haven't had a good smoothie yet. Always filled with ice chunks. I'm going back to my nice 1 hp Kitchen Aide, which is an AWESOME blender. I just got taken by the informercial. I do like the way the blender is put together, with the motor on top. It is hugely convenient. But I just don't think it works all that great. I paid extra to get multiple small containers. I really hope that part of it will work well, otherwise I have an expensive snow maker, which I will rarely use. I also wanted to try making ice cream, but NO RECIPE in the book. All the drink recipes ask you to add ice cream. There are very few receipes, and not much variety even then.
