3cheaper elsewhereJul 14, 2010
I use loratadine, have never tried claratin, but loratadine often doesn't give me 100% allergy relief, this is not news to me. But my mom did find 360 tabs to be significantly cheaper at Sam's Club. Other than that, this was the second cheapest place to get it.

3Great Price, Fast Shipping (with prime), but not as effective as cetirizine (Zyrtec) for me.Jun 13, 2010
Don't get me wrong, there are very attractive aspects of this Member's Mark Loratadine. No matter which vendor you purchase from, the price for 360 tablets (in two little vials of 180) is going to be somewhere around 16 - 18 dollars. That's a terrific deal. Get the two day free shipping if you have Prime and Amazon fulfills some of these orders sold by third parties for speedy shipping. Again, very good points.

I would suggest that if you have taken these tablets before (or if you have taken another form of Loratadine) and you absolutely know, for sure, with 100% certainty that they work for you - there is little to no risk buying these from Amazon or Amazon's third party vendors. The expiration date on the boxes I were received were more than one year out, and if you really have fears about that, you can split the two bottles with a friend and just refill at a later date.

That being said. I knew in my college years that although Loratadine was useful for my allergies, Certirizine (Zyrtec) was far more effective at controlling my indoor allergies. I figured out later on that it um, my...not so stellar cleaning habits that caused some of my allergies, so after some process change (and the addition of a Dyson animal vac), I've not had to take any type of allergy medicine.

Except for one little caveat. Perhaps I should refer to it as one little "rat"eat. I keep in my apartment two beautiful domestic rats (a siamese point and a hairless) and good gracious the moment they play with me or climb on me or scamper up my arm for a treat, the hives come. For two years I tried to keep my contact with them to a minimum until night time when I could take Benadryl or its equivalent. I figure, "play with the rats, and go to bed." But hey, what if I want to play with them in the MIDDLE of the day? After requisite research, I found out that Claritin and Zyrtec (and/or their equivalents) are effective ways at controlling the hives, and I tried a few tablets of my girlfriend's Target-brand Zyrtec to great efficacy. After three days of consistent dosing, the hives barely appeared.

So after browsing Amazon, I realized that, "Loratadine is a little cheaper..." so I went ahead and got the Member's Mark 360 box. After five days of dosing, I'm finding that although the hives aren't as prominent or as large as they would be had I not taken any medicine, they aren't as small or un-itchy as if I had taken Zyrtec.

So take the following points into consideration when you purchase:
a) If you've taken this product before and you know it works, there should be no reason why it shouldn't work again
b) If you've taken another generic version of Claritin, make sure that the fillers are the same (you don't want a nasty little surprise if the fillers are different and you turn out to be allergic to the filler in one and not the other)
c) I'm not saying that this product does not work. For all I know, it could have been helping me breathe better outdoors. For my specific case of handling two domestic rats, Zyrtec just works noticeably better
d) Remember to take this product consistently if you want the full preventive effects.

At the price I paid, I'm not upset that I still have over 350 pills left. There's plenty of friends and family out there who benefit from these products, and they'll be happy to take them off my hands.

5Does What You Need It To Do For LessMay 26, 2010
Loratadine is generic Claritin. The 10 mg dose is a standard adult dose also. This medicine works great for seasonal allergies, and it works even better to clear up post nasal drip due to seasonal allergies.

I took one dose because I was experiencing a sore throat due to post nasal drip, and noticed within hours a major improvement. I also did not feel drowsy, which is good because I work as a nurse and was on the clock!

The price is right too. I will definitely order this again.

5Headache FreeMay 20, 2010
I suffer from bad headache when the allery season rolls around. With loratadine tabs I am free of allerys symptoms and the price is wonderful.

5Great Price, No need for Name Brand Claritin Ever Again!!!May 07, 2010
Works just as well as Claritin. For the price it is worth buying! I paid $10 for 10 Claritin tablets at Wal-Mart. If you are like me and need to take allergy medicine every day, then I wouldn't hesitate to buy the members mark brand.
